Police Response to Non-Emergency Calls for Service

PRESS RELEASE

March 16, 2020

SUBJECT: Police Response to Non-Emergency Calls for Service

CONTACT: Chief Scott Ellis, Tel. (209)736-2567 / [email protected]

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Due to concerns over the spread of COVID-19 the Angels Camp Police Department, in an effort to minimize any potential exposure to both citizens and officers, will no longer be responding in person to non-emergency calls for service. We will be responding to non-emergency calls by telephone only, if possible. Please ensure when providing information to the dispatch center that you leave a valid telephone number for contact.

If you have an emergency situation please call 911 and officers will continue to be dispatched to the location of the emergency.
Although our office will remain open for the time being we also request that you only come to the police department for issues that require our immediate attention.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes but hope you understand given the current state of this Pandemic. We strive to build and maintain partnerships with our community and rest assured we will continue to be there when the need arises.
