Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station Makes Operational Adjustments to Combat Novel Coronavirus
Many Los Angeles County government offices have temporarily closed as part of a proactive approach to slow the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. However, Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station is open and operational. Thankfully, our staffing levels have not been affected. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department will continue to monitor the health and well being of our staff in order to provide uninterrupted service to the community.
While our response to emergency and non-emergency calls for service has not changed, we are making certain operational adjustments to those who visit our front lobby. We are encouraging the community to limit the use of our station lobby. This is in order to promote the health of our staff and the community. Exceptions to this request include:
• When law enforcement presence is needed to protect life, safety, or property.
• Individuals who are required to check in with law enforcement
• Mandated visits for the payment of fees or collection of property
• Required visits in order to release a vehicle from impound or storage
• Court ordered child custody exchanges
For non-emergent services, you are encouraged to call the station ahead of time at 818-248-3464 or use the services on LASD.org . Certain police reports can be made online at http://shq.lasdnews.net/shq/SORTS/sorts_intro.aspx This system allows you to file a specific type of crime or incident report through this website. Once your report is reviewed and accepted, you will receive a free copy of the approved report emailed to you for your records.
You can report the following incidents:
• Lost or stolen cell phones valued $950 or less
• Lost or stolen property valued $950 or less
• Vandalism, excluding graffiti, where damage is valued under $400
• Theft from an unlocked vehicle valued $950 or less
• Theft from an open or unsecured area valued $950 or less
• Supplemental Loss Form (Must already have a LASD report number)
If you request our police services while experiencing any flu-like symptoms, fever, and/or coughing, please notify the phone operator so our Deputies can take necessary precautions prior to contacting you.
Crescenta Valley Station apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. However, we are committed to serving our communities and being part of the solution in limiting the spread of COVID-19.
