Effective at midnight, Tuesday, March 17, San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow and six other Bay Area health officers issued a unified order for residents to stay home and limit activity to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and preserve health care capacity across the region. This shelter in place order is effective through April 7, 2020.
