Temple City Mayor Tom Chavez Issues Message to the Community
March 17, 2020
On behalf of the Temple City City Council, I want to thank you for your understanding and patience during this difficult time.
With regard to COVID-19, the City continues to monitor and implement recommendations with its critical service partners. This measure will ensure that the Temple City community has access to the resources and services it needs now—and into the future.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has recently deployed additional patrols to further public safety. Trash collection remains on schedule, and utilities are still functioning. Essential city services continue to be provided and can be found online at templecity.us.
While the Los Angeles County Public Health Department has imposed new gathering restrictions, please support those Temple City restaurants that offer delivery and take-out services. Grocery stores and pharmacies are open as well.
We remain available to address any questions or concerns. Please call City Hall at (626) 285-2171 during regular business hours or email [email protected]. We also encourage you to visit templecity.us/coronavirus, and the City’s social media accounts for important resources and updates (@connectwithtc on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram).
As a city with a small-town atmosphere where many of us know each other, it is our mutual support that will help Temple City get through this crisis.
Sincerely,
Tom Chavez
Mayor
