Updated Monday, March 18, 2020 9:45 AM
With ongoing news and information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) reaching the pandemic status, please be assured that the City of Thomasville is continually monitoring all updates, reports and recommendations. These reports are from the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHSS) and the Davidson County Health Department. We are taking steps to ensure that City services will continue to be provided in a timely and efficient manner. But there will be disruptions to programs and events over the next month or so. See below for online options for conducting business with the City.
On Tuesday, March 17th, Governor Cooper issued Executive Order #118 that closed all restaurants and bars to dine-in service. Restaurants may continue to provide drive-thru or takeout services. The following is a list of local restaurants that are providing services. These local businesses, and others, will need local support to make it through the next couple of weeks.
The Executive Order also changed requirements and policies for filing unemployment due to COVID-19, see section 3 of the Executive Order #118 for more information.
On Monday, March 16th Mayor Raleigh York, Jr. declared a State of Emergency in response to the Coronavirus Pandemic.
