HARPER WOODS ATTEMPT MURDER ARREST
On Sunday March 15, 2020 at approximately 6:30 p.m. an argument between two males ensued in the 19400 block of Kenosha. During the verbal argument, TYREN WESLY WILLIAMS produced a 9mm handgun and fired (1) shot at the unarmed victim. The victim was not shot or injured during the incident. WILLIAMS fled the scene with the suspect weapon. WILLIAMS is a 23 year old Detroit resident.
On Monday March 16, 2020 Harper Woods detectives, with the assistance of the A.C.T.I.O.N Team and Detroit Police Department, executed a search warrant at a residence in the City of Detroit. WILLIAMS was located and arrested inside this residence without incident. Detectives also located and recovered the 9mm semi-automatic handgun used by WILLIAMS.
On Wednesday March 18, 2020 WILLIAMS was arraigned and formally charged in 32-A District Court in front of the Honorable Judge Daniel S. Palmer. WILLIAMS was charged with Assault With Intent To Murder and Felony Firearm. Bond was set at $75,000.00 cash. If convicted, WILLIAMS faces up to life in prison. WILLIAMS has a Preliminary Examination date scheduled for April 01, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in 32-A District Court.
