Be aware of malicious cyber actors poised to exploit public fear on the corona virus.

Avoid clicking on links in unsolicited emails. Use only trusted sources -legitimate government websites- for up to date, fact based information on COVID-19. Verify all charities authenticity before making donations by reviewing the federal trade commission (FTC) Charity scams page.

Also, no one from the government is walking around door to door checking persons whom they believe are possibly infected with the corona virus. Anyone posing as a representative from the government (FDC, CDC, WHO, Los Angeles County Public Health, ETC.) at your door should be questioned and if you suspect any deception call the Walnut Sheriff's Station at (909) 595-2264 or your respective police agency immediately.
