Arthur Varela was arrested for burglarizing two vehicles in Loma Linda & using stolen credit cards at several stores

LOCATION: 25000 Block of Barton Road, Loma Linda
SUSPECT: Arthur Raymond Varela, 44 years old, transient resident of Pomona
SUMMARY:
On March 18, 2020, Arthur Varela burglarized two vehicles, which were parked curbside on the street near Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC). Varela stole the victim's purse and credit cards from inside one victims vehicle and stole other items from the second vehicle. Varela used the victim's credit cards at several stores in Redlands.
On Friday, March 20, 2020, Deputy Sanchez discovered Varela was at a hotel in Pomona. Central Station detectives assisted and were able to locate and arrest Varela. During a search of Varela's rented car, items were recovered which belonged to two of the victims from the Loma Linda vehicle burglaries.
