Dear Residents:

First, I want to commend our volunteers of Norwood, who are answering calls and placing others well being above theirs. God Bless you all.

I would like to address our residents concerning updates from the Borough. I also have been reading and following social media and I get frustrated seeing information that is misleading and not from a reliable source. Our administration receives updates from the County and the State. Some of the information is strictly confidential and cannot be posted. What we do post, will be the Executive Orders and pertinent news for Norwood.

As far as the COVID-19 cases for Norwood, we receive this information from the County Department of Health. These numbers are posted everyday on all the local news sites and the County website. I will post an update twice a week, Tuesday and Friday. I will also post the County COVID-19 cases into my updates. Obviously, information may come out in between my updates and this will be posted immediately, in the interest of public safety.

In these trying times, we have the same concerns and worries as each of you, but we also have the responsibility of providing you with a service. Please be kind to one another, don’t be malicious on social media and we will be your source for reliable information for the Borough of Norwood.

We communicate to the people of Norwood via Facebook, Nixel, and the Borough web site. We even Mail information to keep people who don't have access to the internet informed.

Most importantly, Stay informed positive and Safe. We will all get through this together.
