Please see the attached Sheboygan County Law Enforcement Press Release
There have been numerous inquiries to local law enforcement and the Sheboygan County Public Health Department about Governor Evers’ Safer at Home directive. Your law enforcement agencies do not want you to panic over the directive that came out today. We as a community will get through this, but we have to work together and stay at home when not engaged in essential activities.
Your employer is responsible for letting you know if their business is designated as essential. Our Officers and Deputies WILL NOT be stopping random people to determine if they should or should not be away from their homes. You still are allowed to go get groceries, medications, and head to doctor appointments.
We will continue to work with our citizens to ensure everyone’s safety. We have had wonderful cooperation from our local businesses and residents during these uncertain times.
Please make sure to practice the recommendations set forth about social distancing, washing your hands often and limiting your time away from home. Together we will adapt and overcome.
Remember that your local restaurants need you now more than ever. Be sure to take advantage of some great curbside pick-up or delivery.
Stay safe and be good to each other!
