Hello Pleasant Hill.  We’d like to take a moment to express our appreciation to the majority of our community who are actively and consistently maintaining the mandated social distance when outside of your homes. Your compliance with this directive not only benefits and protects you as an individual, but the rest of our society as well by reducing the ability for the Covid19 virus to be transmitted to others. 

However, we would be remiss if we did not address a concerning trend.  There are some who may be confused, struggling or refusing stay at home or at their place of residence as required.  For those, we are explicitly advising you these directives are not a voluntary request by your government. They are orders, by both County and State officials.  You are not forbidden from going for strolls, walking your dogs or engaging in similar outdoor activities or the activities permitted in the orders; however, you must proceed safely and consistently allow for 6-ft of space between you and others. Please remember public playgrounds, courts, bathrooms and water fountains in Pleasant Hill remain closed.
  
As of now, incidents of Coronavirus continue to rise in our county. There are currently 68 reported cases in Contra Costa County and one fatality. This a serious health issue that we are all facing and everyone must comply with the orders we have been given to affect the change needed to slow its progression.  This includes all individuals, regardless of ages. 

We remind everyone that following the mandates of these orders is MANDATORY. All members of our community are required to comply.
