MADISON COUNTY HAS FOURTH CORONAVIRUS CASE
 
 
Anderson, IN - This morning, Madison County is announcing the 4th positive case of COVID-19 in our county.  Madison County is waiting on the results of 53 tests coming from our 3 hospitals, which have been submitted to the state lab.   “We know a percentage of these tests will come back positive” said Stephenie Grimes, Madison County Health Administrator.  Grimes also said, “these 53 tests do not include any private Dr offices, or clinics who may be testing and submitting kits on their own.”  
 
Due to HIPAA laws, we will not disclose any information where the patient resides, works, or anything specific to the patient.  Regardless of where the 4th patient resides, citizens need to follow our standard protocols to Slow the Spread.
 
With the current restrictions that have been put in place, by the Madison County Commissioners and the Madison County Health Department, we know our actions will slow the spread as long as the public follows the mantra, Stay Home.
 
The public needs to continue to take the following actions:
 
1.  Stay Home
2.  Wash your hands often with soap and water
3.  Cover your cough and/or sneeze
4.  If you do have symptoms, treat the symptoms, monitor your health       and Stay Home from work.
5.  If symptoms worsen contact your physician for medical care.
6.  If symptoms are life threatening, call 911 and tell first responders           you are having flu like symptoms.
7.  No matter what steps you are taking, STAY HOME
