APD Homicide Detectives obtained three Aggravated Robbery warrants on the subjects believed to be involved in this incident in the 900 block of Columbine. Friday, March 20, the APD Proactive Criminal Enforcement Unit (PACE) located and arrested Benito Ruiz, male, 11/29/1982, and Evelyn Gonzales, female, 12/31/1985 for their warrants. On Tuesday, March 24, in a coordinated effort, APD, the US Marshal’s Office and New Mexico State Police located and arrested Lopphay Gum Pratommarath, male, 07/14/1977, for his Aggravated Robbery warrant. All 3 subjects were booked into the Potter County Jail. This incident remains under investigation by the APD Homicide Unit.

On Thursday March 12, APD officers received a tip of a possible homicide in the Eastridge neighborhood. An investigation into this information led officers to a residence in the 900 block of Columbine Street. Evidence outside of the residence reinforced that an assault had occurred at this location. Officers obtained a search warrant for the property and evidence of a violent crime was located inside of the residence as well. A victim was not located on the property. This incident is being investigated by the Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at 378-9468 or Amarillo Crime Stoppers at 374-4400.
