Sumpter Township Emergency Sirens WILL NOT be activated during today's' 1 pm statewide tornado drill 
As explained in our message on Sunday regarding this being Severe Weather Awareness Week, today at 1 pm the State will be holding a statewide tornado drill during which many communities activate their outdoor emergency warning siren systems. Please be aware that Sumpter Township does not participate in this. We instead test ours on the first Friday of each month at noon.
If you hear the outdoor emergency warning sirens in neighboring jurisdictions going off please know this is just a test.
