At last night’s council meeting I presented a Resolution, which was approved by the City Council, Proclaiming a Local Emergency. This was done as a precaution due to the COVID 19 virus and its potential impact. In the event there is a need for outside assets or reimbursement from State and Federal Emergency Funds, we will be in a position to acquire those resources. I encourage everyone to continue to adhere to the Governor’s Executive Order. This is a very disruptive time for us all but we will get through it faster if we do our part. Practice social distancing, limit contact to that which is essential and wash hands and disinfect regularly. Our officers will continue to be out and visible and while we are handling a lot of non-emergency calls for service over the phone we will handle all calls. I appreciate everyone’s willingness and effort to adjust during this time. We are all in this together.
