The city of Mount Vernon has decided to suspend the garbage tag program until April 20th 2020. Citizens may place 3 cans or up to 3 bags of garbage curbside for collection on your normal day. Bulky item collection has been suspended until further notice. Recycling will continue as normal. Tuesday current with information check out the city website at www.cityofmtvernon-ia.gov or call city hall at 319-895-8742.
