City Orders the Full Closure of All City Parks and the Public Golf Course

In an effort to minimize the spread of COVID-19, the City of Costa Mesa has taken another bold step and closed all City parks and the Costa Mesa Country Club, the city-owned public golf course, which became effective midnight, March 24, until further notice.
The City is taking this action to ensure appropriate social distancing and reduce places of gathering. The park closures will include parking lots, park restrooms, playgrounds, athletic facilities and walking trails.
The parks closures follow a number of facilities and city parks programs that have already been closed out of the abundance of caution as the public is urged to stay home to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help flatten the curve.
“We are asking the community to please adhere to the stay at home order and not visit the parks in an effort to avoid the spread of COVID-19,” said Police Chief Bryan Glass. “We are asking the public to work with us and do their part to keep everyone healthy. If you need to go out for an essential activity, please practice social distancing.”

En un esfuerzo para disminuir la propagación del COVID-19, la ciudad de Costa Mesa ha tomado otro pazo gigantey ha cerrado todos los parques de la ciudad y el club de campo de Costa Mesa, el campo de golf público cual espropiedad de la ciudad. Esto tomo efecto a la medianoche del 24 de marzo hasta nuevo aviso.
La ciudad tomó esta decisión para asegurar la apropiada “distancia social” y reducir los lugares de reunión. La clausura de los parques incluye los estacionamientos, los baños, parques infantiles, instalaciones deportivas y senderos pedestres.
La clausura de los parques sigue un número de instalaciones y programas de la ciudad que ya han sido cerradas por precaución. Se le urge al público quedarse en casa para disminuir la propagación del COVID-19 y ayudar aplanar la curva.
"Estamos pidiéndole a la comunidad que se adhiera a laorden de quedarse en casa y no visitar los parques en un esfuerzo de evitar la propagación de COVID-19", dijo el Jefe de Policía Bryan Glass. “Estamos pidiéndole al público que trabaje con nosotros y haga su parte para mantener a todos saludables.
