New procedures in place for Arrival/Departures through City Pax Airport Terminal.
The City of Adak, the owner/operator of the Pat Kelly Passenger Airport Terminal, in the interests of public health is putting the following procedures in place for all operations through the Airport Terminal. Due to the size of the terminal, social distancing measures with inbound and outbound passengers cannot be maintained without changes in protocol.
Effectively immediately by order of the City Manager:
- Passengers departing Adak will be advised, upon check-in, they will not be permitted in the airport terminal upon plane arrival, until inbound passengers depart the terminal.
- Passengers are reminded to check in as early as possible and do not wait unti airline cutoff times. Checking in early will give TSA the most opportunity to screen outgoing baggage.
- Passengers arriving into Adak must immediately exit the terminal, upon deplaining. Baggage will be available to be picked up only after the plane departs.
- Once all arrival passengers have exited the terminal, outbound passengers will be permitted to enter the terminal, maintaining as much distance as possible.
This procedure will be reviewed by April 11, 2020.
