The National Weather Service in Wilmington has issued a

* Flood Warning for... Eastern Champaign County in west central Ohio... Delaware County in central Ohio... Northern Licking County in central Ohio... Union County in central Ohio...

* Until 415 AM EDT Sunday.

* At 1012 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported that flooding was ongoing at numerous locations across the warned area. Rainfall in excess of 2 inches has caused widespread flooding, with many roads remaining closed or having lingering high water. Although the heaviest rain has ended, runoff from this excessive rainfall will cause flooding to continue.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include... Columbus, Dublin, Westerville, Delaware, Marysville, Urbana, Powell, Johnstown, Sunbury, Plain City, Utica, West Liberty, Mechanicsburg, North Lewisburg, Ashley, New California, Polaris, Radnor, Milford Center and Shawnee Hills.

* AFFECTED AREAS: LICKING, OH ... CHAMPAIGN, OH ... UNION, OH ... DELAWARE, OH

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
