BEACH HAVEN RESPONSE TO THE CORONAVIRUS REGARDING SHORT TERM RENTALS GOES INTO EFFECT TODAY
The Borough of Beach Haven is closely monitoring and following recommendations of the County, State, and National health organizations, as well as local Emergency Services organizations, and other Municipalities on LBI regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19).
We are following suit with other Island Municipalities and enacting the short term Rental Ban through May 1st. We did not make this decision lightly. Although this may have a financial impact on some of you in the short term, we are looking out for you in the long term. We are trying to look out for our First Responders- Police, Fire, EMS and Essential Personnel, as well as the citizens of Beach Haven. The sooner we get the curve down the sooner we can all get back to normal. As you know we do have confirmed cases on LBI. If you are here in your homes please abide by all the rules and regulations put into effect by local and State Government. If you traveled to your second home please self – quarantine for the mandatory 14 days. If you have an elderly relative or neighbor please check on them following appropriate self- distancing or by phone, these are stressful times for everyone and they may be feeling isolated.
So hopefully when we are in our new Normal everyone can come and enjoy our many amenities. In this time of uncertainty, we are trying to do what is best for our community.
