Jonesboro Mayor, Robert McNutt has a message regarding the Covid- 19 struggle. March 29th 2020
Mayor, Robert McNutt has a message to the Citizens of Jonesboro.
It would be easy to have a failed reaction, with politicians saying one thing, and the Medical staff saying another. I vote on the side of the Medical Professionals.
I am most grateful for those Heroic efforts in this Disaster, think of the Health care staff who are working with those infected with the Virus, at a personal risk, and those who are infected and have voluntarily isolated themselves for weeks to protect us, the public.
I have been very concerned with our own First Responders (Police And Fire) who may not have enough of the proper Protective Equipment.
* I want to personally thank the Washington Twp. Fire Department for the Donation of 20 Masks, a great help to our Police and Fire Personnel.
I am also very much concerned with all of you that may have been laid off from work, and the struggling Business's .
I ask you all to please stay calm and focused, show gratitude and compassion, and please follow the established guidelines that our Governor has set for us to follow.
We can win this Battle, if we stick together, and it is so important that all Jonesboro Citizens stay inside, to show your support for those who must be out.
I fear that if we don't follow these rules now, then things could get tougher quicker.
Remember Together we can win this War....
Let Us Pray for God's Miracle.
