Chula Vista Parks and Facilities Closures Continue
These certainly are unusual times for all of us and we hope you are staying safe and healthy. Please remember that the City is strictly adhering to the public health directives regarding COVID-19.
Most City facilities remain closed including City buildings and offices, all City parks, dog parks, recreation centers, basketball/volleyball/tennis courts, sports fields, playgrounds and play equipment and libraries.
We know that Chula Vista has great parks and trails. However, during this time, parks and trails are closed. We have locked gates at parking lots throughout the park system. Gathering in the parks, playing on equipment, or having a picnic is violating the Stay at Home directive.
Of course, you and your family/household members are encouraged to get outside, walk the dog, stroll in your neighborhood, or ride your bike. (Please follow the six foot social distancing rule.) We look forward to reopening all these areas when the public health order is lifted.
We are all in this together. Please do your part and follow the rules to help flatten the curve. The sooner we all comply, the sooner the virus is contained and we can resume our normal routines.
