Full Notification

Last night we were notified by the Warren County Health Department (WCHD) that there are now 2 confirmed coronavirus cases in Hardwick and 72 overall in the County. Privacy laws prohibit giving out the address.

For your information, here is how the WCHD will handle each confirmed positive case:
1. The Health Department is investigating each positive case to determine the infected person's contact history.
2. The Health Department will then directly contact every individual who may have been exposed to the infected person and let them know they may be at risk.

Given the increasing number of positive cases, this is a difficult and labor intensive process but it is the best approach to identify people who may have been exposed and prevent the spread of the virus.   

Self distancing is the best and only known preventative at this time. If you do leave home for any reason, protect yourself, your family and neighbors by taking all recommended precautions to stop the spread of the infection.
