While we applaud the use of personal protective equipment (also known as PPE) throughout the community for those that must go out for essentials, the Fairfield PD has an issue. Littering.
The fact that we, as the Fairfield Police Department have to even think about sending this out in a Nixle is upsetting. That's great you're using PPE. But our officers are seeing your disgusting gloves and masks lying on the ground throughout town daily.
We already have to repeatedly ask you not to congregate in groups of more than 10, and to not play in parks and fields that are closed.
Littering is a fineable offense. Do your part. We all need to work together.
