March 31, 2020 Knowlton Township Coronavirus Update
Today Warren County is reporting 93 confirmed cases of Covid-19. Two of them are in Knowlton Township.
Area mayors learned on the daily call with the county this morning that one of the ways that officials gauge whether residents are embracing social distancing is by looking at data that shows the change in average distance traveled from pre-COVID-19 days and now, as tracked through cell phones. According to that data, Warren County receives a "C minus" grade and has shown only a 27% reduction in travel since restrictions were imposed. While there could be other factors that impact Warren County's grade, it is critical that all residents practice social distancing, as it is the only option currently available to stop the spread of this virus.
In addition, information provided at the meeting suggests that according to one reliable model, Warren County may see a peak in cases in mid-April, with Pennsylvania peaking approximately one week later. Officials stressed, though, that there a different models and the situation could change.
