The Watervliet City School District will be conducting a "caravan parade" tomorrow beginning at 12pm.

As the caravan moves through the city, there may be brief traffic delays.

During the "parade", you are asked to maintain social distancing by standing at least 6 feet from one another. If you're sick, please stay indoors to limit your exposure to others. 

Look out for WPD and WFD tomorrow! They'll be leading the caravan.

School District's Message:

How much do we miss our students? So much that we are throwing a parade! Watervliet teachers and staff will drive a caravan of cars through the City on Friday, April 3 greeting students and families from a safe distance!

The parade kicks off at noon when the caravan leaves Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School and follows several main roads from the north end of the city near Watervliet Elementary School to the south end past the Arsenal and back. Please check out the parade route below to see when the parade will travel by your home! 

Parade Route

• From Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School:
• Follow Hillside Drive to 12th Ave.
• Cross 19th St. to 25th St., past Watervliet Elementary School
• 25th St. to 2nd Ave.
• Cross 19th St., right on 16th St.
• Loop Early Dr., right on 9th St.
• From 9th, left on 13th to Broadway/Rt. 32.
• Follow Broadway/Rt. 32 around the Arsenal, past Valente's to 8th St.
• From 8th St., left on 8th Ave., continue to 1st St.
• Left on 1st to Broadway/Rt. 32 turn left.
• Right on 5^th St.
• Right on 1^st St.
• Left on 2^nd Ave.
• Left on Broadway/Rt. 32
• To 16^th St.
• Right on Broadway/Rt. 32
• Left on 19th St.
• Return to Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School
