News Release - Shooting at Residence UPDATED INFORMATION

On April 3rd, 2020 at approximately 12:46 am the Sheboygan Police Department received numerous calls about gunshots near N 11th St. and Logan Ave.   When officers arrived they discovered evidence that three shots had been fired by an individual into the front of a home located there.  The residence was occupied at the time of the event but no one in the home was injured.   The arriving officers were able to identify a suspect who was taken into custody at his home.
 
The suspect is a 13 year old Sheboygan boy who is being referred to the District Attorney's Office for the charge of Recklessly Endanging Safety.  The suspect was placed in secure custody at the Sheboygan County Juvenile Detention Center.  Further investigation led to the recovery of evidence from the shooting which included the firearm used during the event.  Officers continue to investigate this matter and are still looking into the motive involved in this crime.  The Sheboygan Police Department considers any crime involving a weapon very seriously and encourages citizens who own firearms to secure them at all times when not in use.

UPDATED INFORMATION
A second 13 year old Sheboygan male  was taken into custody and will be referred to the District Attorney's Office for Party to the Crime of Recklessly Endangering Safety. The second male was placed at the Sheoboygan County Juvenile Detention Center.
