Every 10 years the United States conducts a complete count of the its population. It is important for every New Milford resident to participate because the population count will determine the amount of federal funds a state (and its towns) will receive over the next 10 years. An undercount means we will receive less money than we are entitled to for hospitals, schools, roads and the like. It also determines how many representatives we have in Congress.
