Rain is predicted to begin today and continue through Thursday. The heaviest rainfall is expected on Monday and Tuesday.

Chula Vista residents may obtain up to 10 free sandbags at the Public Works Center located at 1800 Maxwell Road. Sandbags will be available today from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Proof of residency is required. Sandbags will NOT be available at any Fire Stations during this time.

As a reminder to all drivers, if your wipers are on, your headlights must be on. And please do not attempt to drive through flooded areas.

And turn off those sprinklers this week...let Mother Nature do the watering for you. Stay safe.
