The City of Hermosa Beach is proud to announce the selection of LBPD Commander Paul LeBaron as the new HBPD Chief of Police.
The City of Hermosa Beach is proud to announce the selection of Long Beach Police Department Commander Paul LeBaron as the new Chief of Police for the Hermosa Beach Police Department. LeBaron, who has more than 27 years of law enforcement experience, will start on April 16.
Because of the current Stay at Home orders, the City will host a virtual swearing-in ceremony and community watch party at 10 a.m. April 16. The City will also seek other opportunities to introduce the community to the new chief in the weeks ahead.
He will replace Interim Police Chief Mike McCrary, who has been leading the department since December. We are thrilled to have Paul join the City’s team and appreciative of Chief McCrary stepping in to serve the Hermosa Beach community during this transition. Help us give our incoming chief a warm Hermosa welcome and thank our interim chief for his leadership during the last few months!
