Arrest made in connection with a series of armed robberies occurring in Covina 
On 3/31/2020 Covina Police Detectives were conducting follow-up on leads generated during an investigation for a series of armed robberies occurring along Azusa Ave and Arrow Hwy in Covina.
That investigation revealed Jermie Schaviers as the suspect responsible for the crimes. Schaviers is a documented Duroc Crip gang member with an extensive violent criminal history, he is on active felony probation, and considered armed and dangerous. Detectives and undercover Officers located Schaviers attempting to flee the area in a vehicle, and a high-risk traffic stop was initiated. Schaviers was safely taken into custody by Detectives during that traffic stop.
He is being held at the Los Angeles County Men's Central Jail (Twin Towers) in lieu of $190,000.00 bail.
