Winter Storm Warning until 11:00PM Wednesday

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 5000 feet. Total snow accumulations of around 6 to 12 inches with locally higher amounts of up to 18 inches. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph on exposed ridgetops and along the crest.

* WHERE...Southern Sierra Nevada in Fresno and Tulare Counties, including Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks, as well as Sequoia National Forest. Also included are the Kern County mountains from Lake Isabella southward toward the Fort Tejon area.

* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SEQUOIA KINGS ... FORT TEJON ... LAKE ISABELLA ... TEHACHAPI AREA
