SHELTER IN PLACE ORDER - LACK OF COMPLIANCE
4/7/2020 Fairfax Community
We are responding to a lot of complaints about blatant disregard of the Marin County Shelter in Place order. The majority of our complaints relate to “Non Essential” construction projects, lack of social distancing in public and people driving to open space areas for recreation (residents and non-residents). All are in violation of the County Shelter in Place order.
As it relates to the above complaints, only essential construction projects are allowed, non-household members must maintain 6 feet social distancing and only persons with disabled plates or placards may drive to parks and open space.
The complete shelter in place order and related links can be found at: https://www.marincounty.org/main/county-press-releases/press-releases/2020/hhs-covid-shelterinplace2-033120
While the initial orders were new and may have been confusing, the revised directives are rather clear and enough time has passed that everyone should be aware of the rules and restrictions.
For the safety of yourselves and everyone else, follow these directives. After investigation of complaints, situation dependent, Fairfax Officers will Issue citations for non-compliance with the shelter in place order.
