Mayor Barsa’s bi-weekly update is on Facebook and the Borough web-site.
April 7, 2020
Dear Residents,
As of noon today, we have 34 positive confirmed cases. Our numbers are increasing but that is to be expected. If it wasn’t for all of us doing our part by social distancing the numbers would be much higher. I know it’s not easy but we will get through this. It might not seem like it, but we are making a difference towards stopping the spread.
Please continue to monitor our website (www.norwoodboro.org), all borough Facebook pages (Norwood Boro, Norwood Police Department, NJ and Norwood NJ DPW) and Nixle where you can not only find my updates but also pertinent updates from the CDC and Bergen County Health Department. If you would like to sign up for Nixle to receive email and text message alerts, please visit www.nixle.com. You can also find updated accurate information www.covid.nj.gov,www.cdc.gov,www.nj.gov/health/cd/topics/ncov.shtml,www.co.bergen.nj.us/health-promotion/2019-novel-corona-virus.
Please contact me via email ([email protected]) or phone (201-280-5916) if you need assistance during this difficult time. Both the email and phone are monitored seven days a week. Myself, your Council and your borough hall staff are here to help.
I would like to wish all my Jewish residents and their families a very happy Passover. Part of Passover is celebrating the taking of responsibility for yourself, your community and the world. I think we can all benefit from that right now. I ask all residents, regardless of faith, to continue taking responsibility for stopping the spread. Please continue to social distance, wash your hands, and have a positive outlook.
Sincerely,
James Barsa
Mayor
