EASTER’S ON ITS WAY!
The grass is green and the flowers are blooming, but as we approach the upcoming Easter holiday it is important we continue to observe Shelter-in-Place and social distancing guidelines. Though an elaborate egg hunt at a favorite local park or a large family gathering is not in the cards this year, there are some great ways you can create a special celebration at home:- Take advantage of local businesses open for delivery or curbside when planning your holiday meal or creating Easter baskets for loved ones
- Check out this great article from Good Housekeeping with fantastic indoor egg hunt ideas – some of these are so good they might become new family traditions! CLICK HERE
OUR FIRST RESPONDERS ARE WORKING HARD TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE
The Petaluma Fire Department is putting extra health and safety protocols in place to ensure our community is protected. These include:- Health screening for all personnel when they report to work
- Taking staff temperatures at the start of, and throughout the duration, of each shift
- Firefighters are practicing social distancing at the firehouse
- Firefighters will begin to wear masks when riding in fire engines to calls for service
- Firefighters will wear masks when out at public locations, like grocery stores when shopping for essentials
