Gov. Phil Murphy announced Wednesday he is requiring all employees and shoppers at the businesses still open in New Jersey to wear face coverings until further notice to help fight the coronovirus outbreak and has limited the number of customers allowed inside stores to a max of 50% of their capacity. Those under age 2 or those with medical reasons for not wearing a face covering are exempt.

Gov.  Phil Muprhy ordered Wednesday that all non-essential construction in New Jersey must stop by Friday at 8 p.m. in the latest escalation of his lockdown restrictions to battle the coronavirus pandemic.

Murphy included exemptions for construction projects that involve hospitals, schools, affordable housing, transportation, utility work, emergency repairs and individual housing sites that can continue to operate under strict social distancing guidelines. He did not detail those restrictions. The governor said the executive order he signed calls for all other construction to cease indefinitely.

CDC Information:

CDC on Homemade Cloth Face Coverings

CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain (e.g., grocery stores and pharmacies), especially in areas of significant community-based transmission.

CDC also advises the use of simple cloth face coverings to slow the spread of the virus and help people who may have the virus and do not know it from transmitting it to others.  Cloth face coverings fashioned from household items or made at home from common materials at low cost can be used as an additional, voluntary public health measure.

Cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children under age 2, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance.

The cloth face coverings recommended are not surgical masks or N-95 respirators.  Those are critical supplies that must continue to be reserved for healthcare workers and other medical first responders, as recommended by current CDC guidance.

Should cloth face coverings be washed or otherwise cleaned regularly? How regularly?
Yes. They should be routinely washed depending on the frequency of use.

How does one safely sterilize/clean a cloth face covering?
A washing machine should suffice in properly washing a cloth face covering.

How does one safely remove a used cloth face covering?
Individuals should be careful not to touch their eyes, nose, and mouth when removing their cloth face covering and wash hands immediately after removing.

How to Wear Cloth Face Coverings
Cloth face coverings should—
•           fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
•           be secured with ties or ear loops
•           include multiple layers of fabric
•           allow for breathing without restriction
•           be able to be laundered and machine dried without damage or  change to shape

On behalf of the Waretown First Aid Squad, Township of Ocean, Ocean Township Police Department and Waretown Fire Company
The Waretown First Aid Squad, Waretown First Aid Squad Ladies Auxiliary, Township of Ocean, Ocean Township Police Department and Waretown Fire Company have joined forces to bring much needed joy to the residents of Ocean Township this Saturday morning.

This Saturday a special friend is coming to town, the Easter Bunny! He will be making the rounds to ensure that he sees every girl and boy, both young and old. We're giving him the VIP treatment with a ride on the trucks up/down every street in town beginning at 10am.
Listen out for the sirens of the Ambulances, Police Cars and Fire Trucks. While we can't stop to take pictures, we're happy to wave to you and your family as we drive past your home.

Please know we will be going down every street - so don't worry, if you hear us we're coming!

To make this event successful and to adhere to CDC recommended guidelines it is extremely important that you and your family remain on your property. Please do not congregate in groups with your neighbors. Unfortunately if we see people grouping together on street corners or neighbors properties we will stop the caravan from proceeding.
Lastly, look out for up to date postings on our Facebook page starting Saturday morning at 10am for updated locations as we proceed through town.

See you Saturday!!!!!!!
