The National Weather Service in Indianapolis has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Southern Madison County in central Indiana... Northeastern Shelby County in central Indiana... Hancock County in central Indiana... Rush County in central Indiana... Northeastern Marion County in central Indiana... Henry County in east central Indiana... Southeastern Hamilton County in central Indiana...

* Until 945 PM EDT.

* At 853 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Greenfield, or 15 miles southwest of Anderson, moving east at 55 mph. This is a very dangerous storm. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

* Locations impacted include... Indianapolis, Anderson, Fishers, Noblesville, Lawrence, Greenfield, New Castle, Rushville, Cumberland, McCordsville, Pendleton, Fortville, Ingalls, Knightstown, Lapel, New Palestine, Warren Park, Morristown, Carthage and Spiceland. This includes the following highways... Interstate 69 between mile markers 200 and 225. Interstate 70 between mile markers 87 and 133.
