* WHAT...Coastal Flood Advisory for minor coastal flooding during the times of high tide this morning into early afternoon.
* WHEN...From noon to 2 PM EDT today.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Minor flooding is expected in the most vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Expect around 1 to 1 1/2 feet of inundation above ground level in low lying, vulnerable areas. Some roads and low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and homes/businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding.
* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Breaking waves of 2 to 3 foot along the south shore of Connecticut may result in beach erosion and wave splashover during the times of high tide today.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...West winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey, southern Connecticut and southeast New York.
* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 8 PM EDT this evening.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
