Home Invasion: One arrest, Investigation continues. (click on blue link for more information). 
On Thursday April 9, 2020, Officers with the Marion Police Department responded to 374 Seagle Street, in reference to a home invasion. Police Investigators responded to the home, where it was determined that three offenders entered the home, which was occupied. During the incident a fight occurred between the offenders and residents. One of the offenders, Lawrence Wade Taylor (36 Asheville) was detained by the residents. The other two offenders left in a vehicle, which was later discovered abandonded.
Taylor was chaged with one (1) count of Burglary, and was placed in the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond.
This investigation is still ongoing, and Investigators are asking for the public's assistance, with any information that can be provided on this incident.
