* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Cherokee County in southwestern North Carolina... Clay County in southwestern North Carolina... Monroe County in east Tennessee...

* Until 115 AM EDT.

* At 1213 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Etowah to 12 miles east of Benton to 9 miles southwest of Ducktown, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* Locations impacted include... Madisonville, Andrews, Murphy, Hayesville, Nantahala Lake, Tellico Plains, Tusquitee, Coker Creek, Violet and Tariffville.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MONROE, TN ... CLAY, NC ... CHEROKEE, NC
