...The National Weather Service Blacksburg Va has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Virginia... Clinch River Near Richlands affecting Tazewell County Heavy rainfall of 2 to 3 inches over the past 18 hours has caused sharp rises on the Clinch River in Tazewell County with minor flooding already occurring at the gage near Richlands. The river will continue to rise for several more hours and a crest near 12 feet is possible today. Rainfall for the rest of the day will be much lighter with less than a quarter-inch of additional rain. The National Weather Service in Blacksburg Va has issued a

* At 06AM Monday the stage was 10.1 feet.

* Flood Stage is 10.0 feet.

* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.

* The river will crest between 11 and 12 feet later today.

* Impact...at 11.0 feet...River begins to affect water treatment plant.

* Flood history...this crest compares to a previous crest of 10.6 feet on Apr 16 2018.

* AFFECTED AREAS: TAZEWELL, VA
