The Absecon Police Department has received numerous complaints of suspicious activity and/or vehicle burglaries or attempted burglaries. The callers are reporting that a tall male with a medium build is seen walking in the area shouting or have witnessed a male matching that description entering their vehicles. The suspicious activity and vehicle burglaries are taking place mostly at night but some are during daylight hours. They are also happening in different neighborhoods North of the White Horse. It is also reported that Galloway Twp. is having the same issues across the border into their town.

The Police Department has developed a suspect in regards to these cases but we are asking the public’s help with being vigilant and calling the police department if they see anything suspicious or any criminal activity. The Police Department would like to remind our residents to please be sure to secure your vehicles and residences and to keep your exterior lighting and surveillance systems in working order.
