April 14, 2020 Knowlton Township Coronavirus Update
Today's there are 463 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Warren County, 41 recoveries, and 29 deaths (20 of those are associated with long-term care facilities). There are 8 cases in Knowlton Township.
At the State Level:
Some good news--New Jersey has joined with the surrounding states to create a committee to help guide a regional approach to reopen the region once the public health emergency has passed.
Governor Murphy has issued Executive Order 124, which allows some inmates categorized as low risk at State Corrections Facilities to be released provided they meet certain conditions. This is to reduce risk of Covid-19 to prisoners and staff.
Executive Order 125 was issued, which applies to restaurants, bars, food courts, and businesses continuing to provide food or take-out services. Executive Order 125 requires:
- occupancy be limited to 10% of stated occupancy
- sanitation materials be provided to staff
- signage placed at entrances and throughout the business alerting customers to required 6 feet of distance
- cloth face covering on customers entering the business
- cloth face covering and gloves on employees
- violations are punishable by 6 months in jail and $1,000 fines
