Drive by Visitation for Lieutenant Terry "Elvi" Foster
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office will host a drive by visitation to honor the memory of Lieutenant Terry “Elvi” Foster. This visitation will take place tomorrow, Thursday, April 16, from 6 P.M. until 730 P.M. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard will stand watch over Lt. Foster and his family as he lies in state in front of the sheriff’s office located at 100 N. Grove St. in Hendersonville. The public, emergency services, and other officials will be able to pay their respects by traveling south on Grove Street from any point above Fourth Avenue in Hendersonville. Those attending will be able to view Lt. Foster’s casket and his family as they pass by. The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office respectfully asks that anyone participating in this visitation burn their headlights and activate their flashers as they pass by in remembrance of Lt. Foster. While stopping briefly to pay your respects is certainly allowed, we also ask that you refrain from parking along the route or approaching the family at this time.
This visitation will be followed by a small, private memorial service for the family only, however, the Sheriff’s Office will livestream the visitation and service.
The drive by visitation and memorial service will be broadcast via live video feed from Sheriff’s Office, link for video feed: https://vimeo.com/408050003 and will also be broadcast on Sheriff’s Office facebook pages and the Sheriff’s Office YouTube channel.
