On Wednesday April 15th, at approximately 3:40 pm, Morgan Hill Police were dispatched to the 17000 block of Crest Ave on reports of multiple gun shots being fired. Upon arrival, MHPD patrol officers initiated an investigation and contacted victims and witnesses at the scene.

During the investigation, it was determined the suspect vehicle was traveling northbound on Crest Ave prior to the shooting. The suspect vehicle drove past the 17000 block of Crest Ave and made a U-turn to return to the area. The suspect vehicle then slowed as it approached several male subjects standing in front of the apartment complex. An occupant inside the suspect vehicle fired multiple shots at the subjects standing in front of the apartment complex. The bullets missed the victims and struck the apartment complex and a nearby trash bin. No one was injured during the shooting. The suspect vehicle fled the area southbound on Crest Ave towards Main Ave. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a dark blue SUV occupied by multiple male subjects. Officers located several pieces of evidence at the scene and Detectives are actively investigating the incident. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time.
