On 04-21-2020 at 2:50pm, Vigo County Deputies were dispatched to 1844 W. Locust Ave in western Vigo County in reference to a domestic disturbance. When deputies arrived on scene, they were told that the victim had already been transported to the hospital for treatment. Deputies were advised that the location of the suspect was 2547 W Center Ave, and that he was believed to be armed with a firearm. Due to the fact that the suspect was armed, the Terre Haute Police SRT was contacted to assist. The suspect was later taken into custody and transported for medical treatment due to injuries sustained by the victim. Edward Wilson was arrested and charged with rape, sexual battery, intimidation, criminal confinement, domestic battery with serious bodily injury, interfering with the reporting of a crime and dealing and possession of marijuana.
