South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster and Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman announced Wednesday that schools will remain closed for the rest of the school year.

Other headlines from news conference:

• Last day of elearning will be up to the districts.
• Distance learning will continue at home though for remainder of current school year.
• Flexibility given to schools so seniors may still be able to partake in some sort of graduation ceremony/walk.
• "We are working to find ways to help students with special needs & working on potential summer options," McMaster said.
• They will work with students to pick up things that were left at school
