Following a two month long investigation, Camarillo Police detectives arrested two male subjects for committing multiple Camarillo commercial burglaries.
In February of 2020, the city of Camarillo saw an increase in commercial burglaries. Camarillo Police detectives noticed the suspects in these crimes were smashing the business windows to gain access and that the burglaries were occurring in the late evening to early morning hours on random days throughout the week.
On February 21st, a commercial burglary occurred at a business in the 700 block of Camarillo Springs Road in Camarillo that involved the suspects smashing a window to gain access inside. Local surveillance cameras recorded a portion of the crime, including a possible suspect vehicle description. Based on this surveillance video, Camarillo detectives were confident two people were involved with the burglary. A few weeks later, following additional investigative techniques, detectives identified one of the suspects as Cameron Lombardo, out of Beaverton, Oregon. On March 7th, detectives with the Camarillo Special Enforcement Detail located Lombardo at a motel in Sylmar, California and arrested him for PC 459. Evidence was located in Lombardo’s property that connected him to several Camarillo burglaries. Detectives believe Lombardo was responsible for at least six commercial burglaries in Camarillo.
As the investigation continued, Camarillo Detectives positively identified Jason Crosby as the second suspect in the Camarillo burglaries. On April 8th, detectives located and arrested Crosby in the 9000 block of Van Nuys Boulevard in Panorama City for PC 459. Evidence was also obtained from Crosby’s arrest that implicated him in the Camarillo burglaries.
Lombardo and Crosby were both booked into the Ventura County Pre-Trial Detention facility for burglary charges. Crosby is currently out of custody and scheduled to appear in Ventura County Superior court on July 15th 2020. Lombardo is also out of custody and scheduled to appear in court on June 4th 2020.
