COVID-19 Information

The county’s “Safer At Home” order is being extended through May 15. The updated order includes additional requirements for essential businesses and requires that everyone wear face coverings when entering an essential business. Reminder: You must wear a cloth face covering over your nose and mouth when in public for essential activities, such as grocery shopping. Please DO NOT PLACE ITEMS CURBSIDE OR IN THE PARKWAY. Residents are advised to store items on their property until normal operations can resume. SoCalGas has launched the CARE program to assist people in paying their utility bills by providing a 20 percent discount on monthly natural gas bills. Customers who have become recently unemployed or who are currently facing financial hardship due to the coronavirus pandemic or for other reasons are encouraged to visit socalgas.com/care, complete the quick online application and find out instantly if they qualify. The CARE online application is available in English, Spanish, Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese. The state has authorized an emergency issuance of additional CalFresh (food stamps) benefits for all eligible households. Additional CalFresh benefits for the month of March will be issued on Sunday, April 12. Additional benefits for the month of April will be issued on Sunday, May 10. More info at: dpss.lacounty.gov.
