Child Molestation Suspect Arrested 
Suspect: Charles William Bussman, 33 years old (In-custody)
On Friday, April 24th, Redwood City Police Detectives conducted surveillance in Portola Valley, San Mateo County, for a child sexual assault suspect, identified as Charles Bussman. In April 2020, the victim reported numerous incidents of sexual abuse to detectives beginning in 2017. Detectives obtained a three-million-dollar arrest warrant for Bussman for multiple sexual acts with a minor.
After several hours, Redwood City Detectives contacted Bussman at his residence and arrested him without incident. Bussman was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for multiple counts of lewd and lascivious acts with a minor and victim dissuasion.
